Raju Kallarackal is a Data Engineer and Consultant with thirty five years of hands-on experience in Information Technology, that has spanned multiple industry verticals, operating systems, databases, and programming languages. He has held both technical and lead positions in various organizations big and small, in the United States and Canada before deciding to take a step back from full time work.

Raju came to Buffalo, New York in 1981 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, to pursue graduate studies in Industrial Engineering. Within a couple of years, he found his passion for developing software applications, and embraced the profession for life. His longest stint was at UPS, where he worked for 15 yeras,building web applications related to shipping and logistics. His core strength is data manipulation,specially modeling, designing and analyzing data.

Raju’s most recent experience as a big data consultant involved dealing with the storage, transformation, and analysis of big data using technologies like Snowflake Cloud data warehouse, NiFi, SQL/Unix for automating and transforming components of the Hadoop ecosystem as well as cloud technologies.
